Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data — and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
Last updated: 29 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how InteleForge Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal data when you visit inteleforge.co.uk or contact us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
InteleForge Ltd is the “data controller” responsible for your personal data.
- Company: InteleForge Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 16661156)
- Registered address: Darlington, DL1 3TH, United Kingdom
- Email: business@inteleforge.co.uk
- Phone: +44 7920 698 922
2. What data we collect
We only collect what we need:
- Enquiry details (contact form): your name, email address, phone number, company name (if provided), the service you’re interested in, and the message you send us. We store these securely in our database (hosted by Neon), email them to ourselves so we can reply, and keep a copy in Google Sheets.
- Unfinished enquiries (only if you tick the box): if you start the contact form, tick “save my details so I can finish later”, and then leave without sending, we keep what you typed so we can send you one reminder to finish. We rely on your consent for this, store it separately from completed enquiries, never set a cookie to do it, and automatically delete it after 30 days. If you don’t tick the box, we keep nothing.
- Analytics data (only with your consent): information about how you use the site — pages viewed, buttons clicked, the website that referred you, approximate location (country/city derived from your IP address), and your device, browser and operating system. With your consent we record this as individual visit entries in our own database (Neon) and, where enabled, via Google Analytics. Your IP address is used to estimate location and to de-duplicate visits using a daily, non-reversible token — we do not use it to identify you personally.
- Technical/security data: your IP address is also processed to rate-limit form submissions and protect against abuse.
3. How and why we use your data (lawful basis)
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible project | Legitimate interests / steps prior to entering a contract |
| Provide our services to you | Performance of a contract |
| Analytics to improve the website | Consent |
| Security, fraud and abuse prevention | Legitimate interests |
| Comply with legal obligations | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on consent (analytics), you can withdraw it at any time — see our Cookie Policy or use “Cookie settings” in the footer. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your data.
4. Who we share your data with
We never sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) who process data on our behalf and under contract:
- Neon: secure database hosting for enquiries and our first-party website analytics
- Google (Workspace & Sheets): to receive and keep a record of enquiries
- Google Analytics: website analytics (only if you consent, and only where enabled)
- Our email provider: to deliver enquiry notifications
- Upstash: rate-limiting to protect the contact form
- Vercel: website hosting and content delivery
We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK “adequacy” regulations, the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as necessary to respond to you and for our legitimate business records — typically up to 36 months after our last contact — after which we delete or anonymise them. First-party analytics entries are automatically deleted after 12 months. Where Google Analytics is enabled, its data is retained according to Google’s settings (no more than 14 months). Security logs are kept for a short period only.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- be informed about how we use your data (this policy);
- access a copy of your data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to processing;
- data portability; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email business@inteleforge.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is usually no charge.
8. How to complain
If you have any concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at business@inteleforge.co.uk and we’ll do our best to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies (such as analytics) are only used with your consent.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
